"Connecting Veterans with Commerce"
Thank you for visiting our website.
Our goal is (1) to connect as many veterans and their family members with our partners in the public and private sectors to opportunities in employment and career development,(2) inform veterans of programs currently available to them and (3) open up new markets of sales and networking to our business partners.
It is a known fact that no where else is there a pool of well trained and highly qualified men and women than those who come from our military. We have an obligation, as citizens, to welcome our servicemen and women back into a society that would not be possible if it weren’t for their bravery to step forward and join the military. We must also not forget their family members, who endure many hardships and uncertainties while they are separated.
America is great because our freedoms are defended daily. They do their jobs without question, complete the mission, and ask for very little in return. It is now our time to do our job.
Please take the time to go through the website and links. Our partners do want to help. If you are a veteran and want to register for email notifications of what is happening, or you want to be a partner/sponsor, please call or email us.

For Immediate Release:
To All Veterans:
FRAUD ALERT: Veterans should be aware of a marketing scam targeting callers trying to reach the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Call Center or GI Bill Call Center. A marketing company has established two fraudulent numbers that differ from the two official VA call center numbers by one digit. If the fraudulent number is dialed by mistake, the answering party will offer a gift card and try to obtain personal and financial information, including credit card information, from the caller. The answering party may even transfer the caller to the VA after the caller’s information is obtained. Note that VA will never ask you for a credit card number or banking information over the phone. Before giving personal sensitive information over the phone make sure you know who you are taking to.
The numbers to be avoided are:
800-872-1000800-872-1000 FREE (the VA National Call Center number is 800-827-1000800-827-1000 FREE )
888-442-4511888-442-4511 FREE (the VA GI Bill Call Center number is 888-442-4551888-442-4551 FREE )
VA has notified law enforcement authorities to address this situation. Please pass this information along and post on your websites.

Colleagues and Fellow Veterans,
First, I want to thank those of you who sent in your VRAP ‘stories’, many were heartfelt and intriguing. We continue to encourage you or someone you know to tell us your VRAP journey.
We are also excited to update you on some recent changes we’ve made to the VetSuccess.va.gov website. We streamlined access to many of the employment links and resources such as the American Job Centers, Veterans Job Bank, and career fairs and provided a direct connection to the eBenefits website at www.eBenefits.va.gov for access to all of VA’s resources.
If you are a Veteran job seeker, please ensure that you have a Vetsuccess.gov account and a current resume uploaded. We are conducting outreach efforts to help drive employers to the VetSuccess.va.gov website. Employers of all sizes continue to register and post jobs each day, and they are searching the VetSuccess.va.gov resume database to find candidates for open positions.
In addition to www.VetSuccess.va.gov, if you have not already done so, please access the eBenefits website and create an account there as well. eBenefits is a joint VA/DoD central location for Veterans, Service members, and their families to research, access, and manage their VA and military benefits and personal information.
·A personalized workspace called “My Dashboard” that provides quick access to eBenefits tools. Using these tools, you can apply for benefits, download your DD 214, view your benefits status, and much more. This workspace is available to you once you have created an eBenefits account.
·A catalog of links to other sites that provide information about military and Veteran benefits.
·An Employment Center with access to military skills translators, career assessments, a resume builder, and other employment resources.
We also revised the “Employers” page to give them easy access to register, post jobs, search Veteran resumes, and find benefits and resources available for hiring Veterans. Since your resume is available for employers to view, please be mindful of what personal information you share on your resume – for example, do not include your social security number.
We encourage you to visit the newly redesigned page at www.vetsuccess.va.gov, explore the pages, register for an account, post your resume or refresh your existing resume. This site is a great mechanism for connecting you with private sector employers—this note is a quick reminder for you to actively use the site.
